Work Placement 2023:
Retink Graphics
Reink Graphics is the company in which I worked for my third year placement. Retink Graphics is a small family owned and run branding and signage company based in Balrothery, North County Dublin.
As mentioned previously Retink is primarily a branding and signage company that specialise in vehicle wrapping and signing. During my time there I was fortunate enough to have been able to be allowed to work on a number of vehicles.
Above is a van that was done for Home Energy Assist, who install solar panels and other home kits. This design was done previously on another one of their vans but they felt that they needed a new icon on the side to represent their primary service of fitting solar panels. The above images are what I came up with using adobe illustrator.
During one of my first weeks on placement, I was able to apply artwork from one van to another using illustrator to prepare the artwork files for print. This van is part of a fleet hence why I could do a straight swap of graphics.
I was also given some signs to create as part of my work with the team. Above is a proof for a customer who is opening a new dog grooming shop in the local area "Faye's Groom Room".
To conclude with Retink graphics I also helped to update the existing website.
Also during my time at Retink Graphics I helped out with the development of TwoTwo95Designs, a premium racing brand for MX (motocross). I created a mixture of video and photographic content as seen below.
I also helped with the development of the app for which people can customise and purchase graphics, this app was created using Jot Form.
